Yes, Maceo . . . For all the great things he has done, nowadays I prefer Candy Dulfer in that role. I’m not a big fan of Candy, but the work she has done with Prince in recent years is superb. But, I’ll go and see Prince next time he is in Holland. He has a lot of credit.

Hi Rene, I was at the Prince concert the 9th. Like you I’m a Prince-fan. The evening/night however was very disappointing. The sound was very hard and bad. Solo’s of Maceo Parker (excuse me for saying) were completely non-interesting (just a few notes on a pentatone scale). Long non-interesting songs with long guitar solo’s which were undefined (because of all effects – flangers, distortion, reverbs, …). When he covered “Johnny Be Good”, I was ready to leave.
